Technology

For the past couple of weeks Te Ngahere have been doing technology. Our teacher Mr Lindsay brought in all of his tools into class and we got to decide what we could make. We used pieces of pallets and timber to make whatever we wanted, and the maximum amount of timber we could use was 6 pieces. My group and I decided that we could make spice racks to add to our class koha kitchen. I think my group and I did well at sanding the wood/pallets with the belt and orbital sander. I think I could have done better measuring the wood in a faster amount of time. I really enjoy doing technology and I hope this could happen all the time.

Rugby

On Tuesday the 7th of August 2018 some year 7/8s and year 6s got to participate in the rugby 7s tournament in Moerewa. There was mixed teams, girls teams and boys teams, we were a mixed team. We played three games, first Kerikeri Jade, then Kaingaroa, and then Okaihau. I think I did well at tackling and sharing the ball. The day was really fun and tiring, I hope I can get to do this again.

Maths goals

For the past two weeks Te Ngahere has been setting their maths goals for term three. We had to add what we have achieved and what we need to learn next. The goals that we had to pick were 2 knowledge, 2 addition and subtraction and 1 algebra. What I think I have done well is that I chose suitable goals for myself to learn, and I don’t think I have to do anything better next time.
