Missy is......

This week in Te Ngahere we have been learning to use metaphors in our poems to describe ourselves. Our WALT was to Use language features appropriately showing a developing understanding of effect. This is my first draft and I think I did well with comparing myself with other things. What I enjoyed the most was that I found it quite challenging but I got there at the end. I think what I can be able to do better next time is to write more descriptive words.

Missy is….
Missy is a marshmallow gentle and sweet,
Missy is a koala soft and cuddly,
Missy is a Kauri tree looking after the little bushes,
Missy is a stray yelping for help,
Missy is a Jeep hurtling through the bushes,

Missy is a bull actively charging at the introdures

Pepeha

For the past couple of weeks Te Ngahere has been working on our visual pepeha.  Our WALT was to introduce ourselves and our whanau. The purpose of this was to know who we are and were our ancestors came from. I enjoyed learning how to pronounce my whole pepeha. I think I did well at putting my pepeha in the right place and in the right order.
