Last week on Thursday Paihia School had a family day to celebrate Matariki. We got to do fun things such as planting trees, playing fun activities and doing art in class, and also at lunchtime we had a big shared lunch with our families and teachers. But even before we had lunch, some people even managed to get up early at about 5.00am in the morning and went to see the Matariki stars. Then about 20 minutes later the people that went to see the stars were lucky enough to get a delicious breakfast from our wonderful teachers. It was so amazing on Thursday.
